Rajini's Birthday Celebration, and Message
For Rajini's fans, 12th of December was another Diwali. They had celebrated his 53rd birthday by arranging special Poojas Anndanams etc.., As usual rajini had 'escaped' from his fans, & had gone to Hyderabad to participate in the shooting of his film 'Chandramuki'. He had celebrated his birthday on the sets with Prabhu, Ramkumar, Jyothica & the unit by cutting the Birthday cake. The whole unit had presented him a mega garland of roses.
His loving wife Latha Rajinikanth had presented him a silk shirt, silk Dhothi dress and a book on Rishi's of Himalaya. "I used to give him new clothes to wear every day starting a week before his birthday. He loves children very much. For any body, his birthday is a day on which he would like to longest all wrong & feel like a child once again. Rajini's natural smile without any worries is something special. This birthday is particularly important for Rajini. Because of a present he had received from his 38 year long old friend Raj Bagadore. He was the driver of the bus in which Rajini worked as a conductor in his original name Shivaji Rao. His friend gave him the number plate with the same number (MYF 184) of that bus. This created nostalgic feelings in Rajini.
This year Rajini had received present from a special individual. Yes, you guessed it right. His son-in-law Danush had given him the present. He asked himself what kind of present can be given to his father in law. Finally, he had settled one few English film VCDs.
When it comes to Rajini, message is inevitable, that too on a special day like this.
"Have to achieve something" This is the message on his birthday not for his fans, but he told these words to himself!
Don't think, what else is there to achieve for a person like Rajini?

No cricket, plenty of fun and games
Vijay's Sachin has gone to floors. The title has evoked curiosity among film-buffs. Since it is being named after a popular cricketer, people wonder whether the movie is all about cricket.
Vijay says it is absolutely not. "The movie is not about a cricketer rather about a lovable guy who adores kids. My character's name is Sachin. It's yet another new director that I'm working with.

Balu’s hot number
Those who have seen Moondram Pirai will remember the hot dance number of Kamalhassan - Silku. Now Balu Mahendra recreates a similar erotic dance number in Adhu Oru Kana Kalam. He was on the lookout for a hot girl . Many heroines were short listed, Those selected were asking for nothing less than Rs 3-5 Lakhs. Finally the director zeroed in on Thejashree. Shot in Vizag the dance is said to be so erotic those onlookers clapped & cheered the duo. Tejashree hearing the claps got over enthusiastic and smooched Dhanush to her hearts content. Dhanush had no complaints . Tejashree is heroine in "Een Kannil Ean Vizunthai’ and second heroine in Solli Adipean. After Dreams debacle Adhu Oru Kana Kalam is very crucial for Dhanush.
Chandramukhi story is Mine!
There has been two many writers claming the story of 'Chandramuki' as their own. The latest addition in this list is the writer of the Malayalam film 'Manichirathazh'. The name is Madhumootam.
Director P.Vasu had bought films from other languages ( After having paid a just sum of money) & remade them into Tamil. Mohanlal and Nedumudi Venu duo's film 'Bharathan' has been converted as 'Cheenu' in Tamil. Hindi film 'Lawaries' was remade into 'Panakkaran'. The film 'Professor' was made as 'Nadigan' in Tamil. The super hit film of Rajini's 'Mannan' was made after the Kannada film 'Anuraga Avalithu'.
When we study this is detail, except 'Chinathambi' all most all other films remade only. He made a film is Kannada with Vishnuvarthan. The name of that film is 'Apthamithra' That film itself was a remake of the Malayalam film 'Manichitratazh'. Rajini had seen, the film 'Apthamuthra' & likes it. This is what is being made in Tamil as Chandramuki.
The person who wrote the original story of 'Manichitratazh' is the one who is making the claim now. But P.Vasu insists that 'he had taken just one line theme from the film 'Appthamithra' & had developed everything else in his own.
"Altogether 12 reels has been changed & climax is also changed. In Malayalam the hero Mohanlal will enter only after the interval. But if I had followed the same pattern, in Tamil Rajini's fan would butcher we have Says P.Vasu logically".
"He goes on to add not only that, I had already bought the rights of the Malayalam story, so it can be made into film in Tamil, Telugu, Kannadam languages" asserts P.Vasu with confidence. What is that one learn from this?

Cheran keeps up his word
Director-actor Cheran has kept up his word.
He had promised to rope in the Chennai-based girl Sujatha, who had tried in vain to get into the police department, as a heroine in his next movie.
With Cheran beginning his next movie Kadithangal, a new face from Malayalam filmdom has also been chosen to play the heroine, while Sujatha has been offered the role of a second heroine.

Jyothika makes her personal best in 'Chandramukhi'
Jyothika, who is planning to quit the film industry sooner or later, would rate 'Chandramukhi' as the film that had fetched her the highest salary ever.
Jyothika reportedly made a massive Rs 60 lakhs in the film. Some news media have a very peculiar reason behind Simran's walking out of the film. Simran was supposed to play Prabhu's wife in the film. There were supposed to be some 'very close' scenes between her and Prabhu.
Simran's husband Deepak was not okay with the scenes. Simran had asked the director if they could avoid shooting those scenes and use indirect hints, but the director refused.
This had prompted Simran to walk out of the film.
Dirty man with Pure Heart
Simbu looks fine even with six days stubble on his chin. The success of Manmadhan is just flashing all over.
"The character in that film was that of a play boy. But kills the women happily. When we searched for a strong motive for this like that of 'Indian Thatha' (old man), we strike the Idea of illicit love affair with a sudden turn thrown into the story. This formula had clicked. Only after the movie 'Manmadhan'. People are starting to show some interest in me." says Simbu with happiness. He has one regret that is, the fact that he was not invited properly for the wedding of his one-time friend Aishwarya.
"I was in good friendly terms with Pappu (Aishwarya) I also know Rajini sir and Latha madam very well. Even Mittu (Soundarya) is my friend too. I met pappu for the first time in an cultural function in which I had danced, but is didn't get any prize for my performance on that day. Then I heard a voice, "Hello, you have danced very well". That was the voice of Aishwarya. Latter friends told me that she was the daughter of Rajini. Then only, I came to know about the fact. Then she herself had found out my number, & called me. After I had joined in Ashram School only we become thick friends."
Simbu had received the invitation for Aishwarya's marriage through a PRO only. That was why he didn't participate in the wedding. Otherwise, the wishes her very best where ever she is "Now I am very busy with 'Thotti Jeya'. This is a character, which I didn't do so far. `London’ heroine Ankitha attempts suicide
Ankitha heroine of `London’ the Tamil film starring Prasanth and directed by Sundar C attempted suicide. The incident took place in Mauritius where Ankitha was shooting for a Telugu film with Navdeep as hero. Navdeep made his debut in Jai directed by Teja. It was dubbed in Tamil as Jairam. The film bombed in both the languages. The hero then signed a film directed by Aaditya with Ankitha as heroine. Ankitha hit big time with Simhadri which had NTR jr. as hero. Later he signed the Tamil film Arinthum Ariyamalum. Naveep was so besotted by Ankitha that he kept on proposing to her but she turned him down. He then began to paw her in the songs and used vulgar words . Finally an angry Ankitha slapped him. He then abused her in public and spoke about her so called adventures. A shocked Ankitha went back to her hotel and took a few sleeping pills. She was however saved by timely medical help. Her mother has threatened to go to MAA over this sexual harassment. Recently Rajendra Prasad did the same pawing in the sets and Malavika walked out of the film.
Shirli’s loss shakeela’s gain
Shirli’s topless scene in Kathal Arangam has created waves in the South filmdom. She is said to be South’s Bipasha Basu & Mallika Sherwat combined in one. Anyway the Telugu producers made a beeline to Shirly’s house with wads of notes. The actress told them in clear terms that she will go topless only if the story demands but the producer’s had stories revolving around her topless scene. She refused them. They phoned up Shakeela who agreed to it.
Meanwhile the film’s director Velu Prabhakaran had submitted his trailor to TV channels & gave them lengthy explanations about the flaws of censorship. Despite his zeal to go to UN the TV channels politely turned it down saying that it was too hot them. Will FTV and MTV accept it?

But the Queen of melody had lived in Music inseparably.
She was hospitalize few days ago because of a Virus fewer. She died at the midnight of 11-12-2004. It would be appropriate to mention here the words of Nehru in appreciation of M.S

The Chief minister Jayalalitha and M.Karunanidhi had paid their respects for the departed soul by placing wreath on her body.
The president of India Dr. Abdul Kalam had come in by Military plane especially to pay his respects. He had pleased a wreath on her body and consoled her relatives.
In 4.35. PM, her body was taken in a procession for cremation.
Her body was covered with the red shawl presented by the late Kanchi Acharya.
At 5.00P.M in Basant Nagar cremation Ground. She was consigned to the flames with full state honours 36 Gun bullets by Tamilnadu police.
In her last January, many a Karnatic Musical Jambavans like, Balamuralikrishna, P.B.Srinivas, Dr. Seerghali Siva Chidambaram, P.Susila, S.Janaki. Sudha Raghunathan, Sowmya, Nithyasree, Madurai T.N.,Seshagopalan, Barathanatyam artiste Pushba Subramanyam, violin artiste Lalkudi Jeyaraman and others have participated.
Bengali actress in Kollywood
FA young actress from Bengal is venturing to Kollywood. Hold on, it's not Bipasha Basu.
The tall and lanky actress is Kamalini Mukherjee, who is all set to act alongside Punnagai Poovae fame Nandha, in a movie titled Vilayada Vaa.
Kamalini had acted in a Hindi movie Phir Milenge as Shilpa Shetty's sister and also played a lead in Telugu movie Anand.
She says, "it's my desire to be part of Kollywood which is very professional in film-making. The technicians here are skilled and do a wonderful job. I will do good roles and establish my presence here".
I want to born again in TamilNadu-TMS
The grand old singer TMS, was felicitated and honoured yesterday by the Association of light Music Troupes. This should have been done by the Cine industry.
The great singer who had song ever green songs like 'Acham Enbhathu Madamaiyada', 'Un Kannil Neer Vazhilthal', 'Antha Naal Gnapagam' and many others. He was a specialist singer who had rendered his voice to many different actors, the Cine field did'nt bother to honour a person who had been doing great service as a singer in Tamil film for more them 50 years. This mistake has been set right & corrected by the Association of Light Music Troupes.
He had garlanded the statue of Kanndasan at 9.00.AM. in T.Nagar. & was seated in an ornamental chariot along with his wife Smithra. The music director Shankar Ganesh had acted as driver of the chariot. At Kamaraj Arangam, he was accorded the traditions Poorna Kumba welcome. Then the Felicitation had began, M.S. Vishwanathan had presided over the function. The musicians Ramamoorthy, Pughalendi, Deva, & the singers, Jeyachandran, Malaysia Vasudevan, P.B.Srinivas. A.L.Raghavan, Seerghali Siva Chidambaram. And lady singers P.Suseela, L.R.Eeswari had participated and had spoken, in this function. S.P.Balasubramaniyam, who was'nt in Chennai & K.J.Yesudas had sent their felicitations.
TMS addressed the gathering last . "I have lived for the past 50 years with name and fame, I had thought that at the fag end of my life, everybody had forgotten me. I have been regretting about thus of late . But this function had erase that regret. I want to be been again in Tamilnadu, Even then, I want Kannadasan, G.Ramanathan, MSV, KV Mahadevan, MGR and Shivaji along with me! This is my 'big' desire? said the veteran singer.
