Producer Prabhu talks about 'Chandramuki'
When you go near to Prabhu, his happy mood will get into you within no time. He is the Producer of the Super star's film 'Chandramuki'. He is also another hero in the same movie. He has many reasons to feel happy.
From the day of Pooja, there have been allegations about the ownership of the story, from many quarters. All these confusions have come to an end now. "The claims that the story and the original version of the movie 'Chadramuki' is disappeared. The reason for this is the hero of this film Rajini only" says Prabhu with elation. For him, this is his 141st film. "Do you feel happy about your Cine life so far?
"Definitely yes. I have acted as many as 19 films with my father. Those experiences are unforgettable.
Prabhu and all other members of the family will come together in the dining hall on Sundays at his home. After the demise of Shivaji, they are celebrating Sundays as the day of Shivaji.
"Shivaji have special kind of affection towards Rajini. He used to say often that Rajini is an example for hard work and honesty" we got him back to the present by asking a question "You could not reveal the story of 'Chandramuki' that's Ok. But tell us, about the nature of the movie, whether it is comedy film of family subject?"
The film 'Chandramuki' is a complete comedy oriented family entertainer" there need not be any doubt about that" asserts Prabhu.
"For Rajini, comedy is like spirituality, it come naturally just as he would make Vibbhoothi to appear in his bare hands in no time. Since this Rajini starrer 'Chandramuki' is getting released after a long gap, you can expect Rajini at his best in this film.
Kamal wounded in Bike Stunt scene
For Kamal taking risks is like eating Rusk. In the film 'Punnagai mannan' he suffered bone fracture because he dived all by himself in the Chaplin character. But then, risk taking mentality is continuing till now.
There is a scene in 'Mumbai Express' in which Kamal had to ride a bike very fast with the child artiste Hrithik, As usual Kamal didn't go for dupe. He himself had ridden the bike in full speed. But all of a sudden the motorcycle developed a problem all skidded. Kamal and Hrithik were thrown off from bike. They went up in the air and crashed against a wall while coming down. The whole unit rushed towards the spot.
Kamal saved the child by holding on to him tightly, even while he was thrown up. So the child escaped without any injury. But Kamal suffered many scratches.
Is it necessary for Kamal who is expected to create history in the film field, to take this kind of risks? When asked about this he smiles broadly with a slight shake of his head.
"Generally, when acting in real dangerous scenes, nothing happens. But accidents happen in unexpected scenes only. These things happen very unexpectedly indeed. This may seem as a joke, but true. We are actors. These things are all ordinary occurences for us". After saying this, he started getting ready for the next shot.
"When asked about why he is taking risk by acting in risky scenes, he 'quotes Steve Macuine' Policy to justify his activities.
"When one has well built body with strength, there is no need to go for dupes".
Sneha’s change of heart
Sneha who refused to act with Arjun in Jaisurya has now accepted the film Chinna with the same hero. Earlier she had signed ABCD with Shaam. Shaam and she had a fight over a kissing scene in Yei Nee Rombha Azhaga Irukey but now she has forgiven him. Likewise when Manoj Kumar wanted to cast her in Jaisurya she backed out saying she was not game to act with oldies. Now Sneha has a change of heart. Chinna is directed by Sundar C. Sneha has two Telugu films and an English- Tamil film on hand.
Dhanush in Gangai Amaran direction
Kozhi Koovathu, Kokarako, Karhatakaran and Enga Oor Pattu Karan were the hit films of Gangai Amaran. As a lyricist his song Sendhoora Poove for 16 Vyathiliney got him the national award. Now he comes back to direction with a film starring Dhanush. It is a rustic subject. He wants a girl to play the village belle. The film is produced by veteran producer Panchu Arunchalam who produced Annakili which introduced Illayaraja to filmdom. Hope it brings luck to all.
Trisha is 85 sada is 35
After the thumping success of Nuvvostanante Ne Vaddantana in Telugu the price of Trisha has shot up to Rs 85 lakhs per film. She is the highest paid actress in South India. At this rate she will touch Rs 1 crore feels the trade. Her price was in the range of Rs 55 lakhs. Yet another heroine to notch up a high price is Sada. She is paid a whooping Rs 35 lakhs for the Shankar film. She has quoted the same price for Priyasakhi. Sada unlike Trisha does not have a major hit to justify her hike in price. With Jothika not signing films and Simran not in the race the heroines are in great demand.
Fighting the jinxed tag
It is always difficult to shrug off the 'jinxed actress' tag in filmdom.
Actress Sridevi Vijayakumar should know as she is being labeled one.
After her movies Kadhal Virus and Thithikudahe failed at the box-office, she was hastily branded as a jinxed actress in Tamil filmdom.
But Sridevi says it is wrong to summarily dismiss somebody like that.
"Just because a couple of my movies took a beating a beating at the box office, I cannot be called so".
She adds, "I have proved my acting mettle in both the movies and my performance in the recent release Devadhaiyay Kandein too have won me accolades."
Sridevi has a point when she says that people perhaps expect a lot from her.
"People expect a lot since my parents (Vijayakumar and Manjula Vijayakumar) have won great laurels in the industry. My two sisters have also been actresses. I am still in my infant stage in the industry and one has to wait sometime before making it big".
Sridevi takes comfort from the fact that bigger names have also had to endure the same predicament.
"Sons of veteran film personalities like Shivaji Ganesan, Muthuraman, Shiva Kumar and S A Chandrasekhar did not achieve success in their first few movies", she says.
I am not a jinxed actress. I will certainly make it big, Sridevi says confidently.

'Lip Surgery' for Navya Nair
One can't stand if women should suffer in pain; but if the women happens to be the beautiful actress Navya Nair..
Wait wait, don't start imagining things.. just try and control yourself. Navya Nair didn't suffer the pain in the hip but only on lips.
Four months before Navya nair was met with a minor accident, which resulted in severe bleeding from her lips. She had four strictures on the lip.
Yesterday, during the shooting of the film 'Amirtham' in Chennai, Navya Nair felt very much pain on her lips. She went to the hospital and got it tested. Then she came to know that her strictures had come out. So she under went plastic surgery immediately.
Navya's fans need not worry about this. Because the man who had done the plastic surgery is the same surgeon, Dr.Murugesan, who gave the youngness back to the lips of Rajini by conduction Plastic Surgery.
So there is 100% guarantee that the lips of Navya would retain their beauty. Since it a surgery, Navya was advised to take rest for at least 10 days. So 'Azhagiya Thee' is taking rest now.

Cheran's latest film 'Thavamai Thavamirunthu'
If anybody should conduct a debate about, which is tougher? Whether to make a movie or to get an appropriate title? Without Salamon Pappaiya, we can easily declare that the later is the toughest one.
Cheran had made the emotionally surcharged film 'Autograph'. But to the members of 'Tamil Padhukappu Iyakkam', the 16 reels of the film didn't mean much, but all their attention was focused on the English title of the film 'Autograph' only.
Cheran started his next film with the name or title as 'Touring Talkies'. The same outfit was up in arms against this 'English' title and demanded it be changed. Cheran, bowing to their demand, had changed the title as 'Kodambakkam'.
There is another change in the title yet again. The latest title is 'Thavamai thavamirunthu'. He had started the shooting of this film at Karikudi yesterday.
Producer? The same Krishnakanth of Indian Theatres, who was also the producer of the dropped film 'Touring Talkies'. The lead pair for Cheran is the 'Bangalore Tomato' Padmapriya. In true with the latest trend in Kollywood, Padmapriya is also a famous model.
The story of 'Touring Talkies' was put aside, and a new story based on the love and affection between son and the father was written for this film.
The shooting of this film is going to be conducted in places like Madurai, Nellai, Chennai. The act Director J.K. had built a palatial house at Karaikudi for this film.
Since the Music director Bharadwaj had shot off his mouth about his role in the film 'Autograph', is edged out from this film. Sabesh-Murali duo is the music directors for the new film. The songs are penned by, Snehan, Pa.Vijay and Cheran.

The real life mother and father got married after loving each other. They are calm and peace loving people. 'Kadhal' film parents are just terrible.

He is a good friend. During the shooting of the film 'Kadhal', he taught me about how to act and also helped me in dance sequences.

Do you think you had lost 'College life' because you came in to this acting profession?
No, I don't think so, because I lost that life only for a good thing like acting profession.
Did the director Balaji Sakthivel ever scold you during the shouting of the film 'Kadhal'?
While shooting the song 'Kiru Kiru' he did scold me. But after that he got me Chocolates and Biscuits to make peace with me.
Among Ajith and Vijay, whom do you want to act with?
I want to act in film where there is strong and good story.
Priyamani- Dhanush sizzle
Priyamani the Bharathiraja discovery has done some real hot steamy songs in Athu Oru Kanaa Kalam. directed by Balu Mahendra. He has put an item number with Tejashree and Dhanush. The songs in waterfalls between Priyamani and Dhanush is said to be very erotic . So erotic that Dhanush felt embarrassed. Priyamani surprised everyone with her bindaas acting. Manirathnam's assistant makes her debut
Manirathnam's associate Priya is making her debut as a director in a new film that Prakashraj is producing.
In his quest for artistic films, Prakashraj had made many films that were commercial failures at the box office. Prakashraj believes in making his money in the film industry and returning the money to the film industry itself. And he is fond of giving breaks to newcomers.
He is now getting ready to produce another film. This time, the film marks the debut of Priya who was working with Manirathnam. 'Kanda Naal Muthal' is the name of the film and as usual, this time too the film is going to have many new faces and Prakashraj will make an appearance.

The heroines of this film 'Shaba khan' 'Shana Sheik' are from Mumbai. The director of this film Darshan had earlier directed the Crime series 'Police Diary' in SunT.V.
'Sathi Savithiri' - is starting her journey starting from Hyderabad and comes to Chennai, then continue to travel to places like Goa, Gopichetipalayam, and Vizhakapattinum. This film is expected to hit the screens on coming April.
A new Music Director from Niyab Raja from Mumbai, is being introduced for the first time in Tamil film. So far none of his previous films helped the hero Sriman very much. Let us hope at least this 'Sathi Savithiri' may help her 'Sathayavan' to get some recognition, which is due for long time.
